Permanent Makeup
Pre-Screening

  • No alcohol 24 hours prior to your procedure

  • Do not come to your appointment hungover or I will have to reschedule you.

  • No heavy workouts 24 hours prior to your procedure

  • Accutane users must be off medication for at least one year

  • Isotretinoin users must be off medication for at least one year

  • If you require antibiotics before a dental procedure, check with your doctor to see if you need them prior to getting permanent cosmetics.

  • Laser hair removal should not be done within 5 days of the procedure

  • If you tint your eyebrows this should be done 2 weeks prior to your procedure

  • No need to tweeze or wax your eyebrows, shaping your brows is part of your appointment

  • Try to avoid excessive caffeine 24 hours prior to your procedure

  • If you are an insulin dependent diabetic you do not qualify for permanent makeup. Type 2 diabetics require a physicians's note clearing you for permanent makeup 

  • If you have any blood clotting disorder, you are not eligible for permanent makeup.

  • No chemical peels 6 weeks prior to your procedure and 6 weeks following your procedure. Avoiding the forehead entirely is recommended. If you do frequently obtain lasers and peels, your permanent makeup will fade due to chemicals that are used in those procedures tend to travel under the skin.

  • No Botox 30 days prior to your procedure and 30 days after your procedure

  • You must be off of any chemotherapy treatment for 1 year

  • Discontinue fish oil, vitamin E oil or any makeup remover with oil in it for 30 days prior to your procedure

  • If you have lupus you are not a candidate for permanent makeup

  • No tanning beds or tanning outside 2 weeks prior to your procedure

  • If you have a thyroid condition, and are prescribed thyroid medication, you may require multiple sessions to obtain the desired result.

  • If possible, do not take blood thinners 5-7 days before your procedure (non-aspirin pain relievers may be taken up to one hour prior to the procedure). NOTE: DO NOT discontinue any medications necessary for your health!

  • Discontinue using Retin-A (that thin the skin) 30 days prior to your procedure

  • **You are not a candidate for any permanent makeup if you are pregnant or nursing, no exceptions! You will need to wait 6 months after delivery and/or 6 months after nursing.**
