It's always recommended to read through every section
before booking an appointment with me.

Pain sensitivity varies from person to person, and many of my clients find that tweezing or waxing their brows to be more uncomfortable for them. Ensuring the utmost comfort for my clients throughout their eyebrow service is my priority; some even drift off to sleep in my chair because they are so relaxed. I use highly effective topical numbing creams before your procedure and also during the entire eyebrow procedure to minimize any discomfort. Additionally, factors like menstrual cycles can influence sensitivity levels.
Permanent makeup is a procedure that implants color in the skin using different needle configurations. While tattooing ink is injected deep into the skin, into the dermis, pigments used for permanent makeup are injected right above the dermis into the basal layer of the epidermis. The services I offer are eyebrows. I can restore color and definition to eyebrows. It results in a softer more natural look than that of a tattoo. Permanent makeup is extremely beneficial to those with unsteady hands, vision problems, allergies, or if you are just tired of reapplying makeup and drawing on eyebrows daily. Although it is considered "permanent", it does fade over time and requires a color boost in typically 1 to 3 years.
Absolutely not! I will work with your existing eyebrow hair by incorporating it into the "custom" eyebrow shape which I will design for you.
Using your natural brow bone as my guide, I will beautifully create eyebrows which will instantly define your face, lift your eyes and literally take years off of your face!
Whether you choose the "feather-stroke" or "powder-filled" eyebrow technique, or a combination of each, your new permanent eyebrows will be beautiful. You will love them right away!
Once you have scheduled your appointment, you may choose to come into your appointment with your eyebrows "drawn" on so that you can "show" me how you typically wear your eyebrows. This information provides me with a baseline as to what you personally find appealing in regard to your own eyebrows, such as size and color.
Of course, you may choose not to wear your eyebrows into your appointment. This is absolutely fine, too.
We will look at various eyebrow designs and techniques and discuss which eyebrow technique would be suited best for you. With this information, I will map out and measure and follow the natural brow bone on your face then draw them on you and have you look at the varied designs. I will continue to alter the drawing(s) until you "approve" of the shape. Once you've "approved" of the eyebrow shape, I will also discuss the "technique" you desire. Most likely, you'll want the technique which will look most natural for your particular eyebrows. I can help you make this decision.
I also discuss appropriate color(s) selection. Only high quality pigments are used. My pigments can be custom-blended, as desired. I generally start with lighter, conservative pigment colors, knowing that I can always darken the colors during your second/"touch-up" appointment.
Throughout the procedure, you will be provided with a hand-held mirror so that you may have the opportunity to take a look at anytime during the tattooing process. So, basically, throughout the entire procedure, from start to finish, I work as a "team" with you.
Throughout the procedure, I will continually keep your eyebrow area numb and comfortable. There is generally no bleeding at all. Or, if there is any, it is just a pinprick. As a result, following the procedure, you'll be able to go out into public and feel very confident with your new look! You will love your new eyebrows right away!
You can go right out into public with confidence. They'll look fabulous right away!
In the hours following your procedure your brows will appear much darker and bolder than it will heal due to oxidation in the surface layer of your skin. Your brows could also appear warmer in color. You may experience some redness or swelling around the treated area, this typically disappears within a couple of hours after your procedure.
Around day 3 to 14 you may notice some shedding/flacking on the treated area, (DO NOT PICK); doing so can result in loss of pigment in those areas. Brows may appear spotty or patchy until the entire brow has finished healing. You may notice that some areas may appear very light or may seem to have lost pigment entirely after they have exfoliated.
The color will begin to blossom over the next 6-8 weeks and softened pigment should appear more clearly on surface of the skin.
At 6-8 weeks your brows will be fully healed. Whatever pigment that does not return will be addressed at your final touch up or if you would prefer a darker brow we can always add more color or dimension during your final touch up appointment as well.
Yes, it does. During the healing process, you'll lose about 40-60% of the color. This occurs because the top layer of our skin exfoliates, and with that, the top layer of pigment sloughs off, too. As this happens, you'll notice the color soften and lighten.
A second color/"touch-up" application is complimentary to all my new clients and should be scheduled 6-8 weeks following your initial appointment. I use this session to set the shape, color, and make any small adjustments if needed.
This varies with each individual person. I tell my clients to think of their permanent makeup as LOW maintenance not NO maintenance. Your permanent makeup can be affected by sun exposure, health conditions, medication, hormones, and the natural aging process. If you are a frequent exerciser or swimmer, you will more than likely require more frequent touchups. The color can last anywhere from 1-3 years, however, it is recommended that you return for a color boost every 18 to 24 months to keep your permanent makeup looking fresh. I do not advise clients to return before one year, however, it's recommended to not wait so long that we have to draw on your shape again. Color boosts are typically a one time appointment, however, if you return when it is almost entirely faded away, this could result in an additional appointment, which will be an additional cost; see Color Boost fees on the services page.
You will need to send me a picture of your current eyebrows with no makeup on, so that I may actually see them, along with a picture of the way you'd like them to look and an explanation as to why you're not happy. With these two pictures, I can provide you with some feedback as to whether or not I can help you. In some instances, I can help. In other cases, unfortunately, I cannot. Going over other artist work is a case by case scenario and I will need to see pictures before moving forward with an appointment with me.
I recommend waiting at least 3 weeks after you have had any botox injections before getting your eyebrows done. This recommendation based on the fact that Botox may alter the placement of your natural eyebrows. Obviously, when I permanently color your brows, it is best that I work with your "natural" placement, rather than an "altered" placement. It is then recommended to wait about two (3) weeks following both sessions of your permanent eyebrow procedure before having your Botox injection(s) in the brow area.
Please avoid chemical peels or laser treatments at least six weeks before your procedure. These treatments can make your skin thinner and more sensitive, resulting in more bleeding which can affect color retention. Wait six weeks after your procedure before doing chemical peels and laser treatments to allow the brow to fully heal.
Please avoid facials at least six weeks before procedure. Some intensive facial treatments can make your skin thinner and more sensitive, resulting in more bleeding which can affect color retention. Wait until both sessions have fully healed.
No need for a consult first, if you have a specific question or concern you are welcome to text or we can do a consultation over the phone. I do book enough time to discuss your needs and wants at the initial appointment.
If you are in need of correction work or have had your brows tattooed elsewhere, you will need to text me a photo before booking. Often times I'm able to go over other artist work but this is a case by case scenario. You will also be considered a new client.
Yes, of course! Everyone needs eyebrows! Obviously, I shape a man's eyebrows differently from a woman's eyebrows. I will draw them on first to be sure you feel comfortable with the shape, and once you approve of the shape, we can fill in the shape with natural looking hair strokes. I generally start with very subdued, discreet colors during the initial appointment. Then, I can darken them up, as desired, during the second/"touch-up" appointment. You will love your new eyebrows too!
Absolutely! My goal is to always try to achieve a soft brow arch to look natural and undetected. I will follow your brow bone and natural eyebrow shape by using "The Golden Ratio" measurements to map out a beautiful shape that you were born with already! I will also add in some hair strokes if need be that will blend perfectly where you can't see the difference between your own hair and the hair strokes that I placed.
